Itinerary 2005
 

In January 2005 the team will travel northward from the South Pole through Africa and Europe to the North Pole.

Below are the highlights of the wild adventures, presentations, environmental and humanitarian activities that the team will be involved in during the 17 month journey.


The adventure begins...


January 2005 - Antarctica

Team members will travel by ski and wind powered kite 450 miles from the South Pole to the coast

February - March
Sailing from the coast of Antarctica through the most inhospitable ocean in the world is a huge test of team spirit.

April - Cape Town

Bicycling north through Africa team members act as Global Citizens by lending a hand with community development projects.

May - Botswana
Through the Heart of Africa the team members will help with wildlife habitat protection.

June - Kilimanjaro
Climbing Africas highest peak team members face high altitude difficulties that test personal perseverance.

September - Nile
Rafting the Nile River through the Sahara Desert team members help with water pollution issues.
 


October - Middle East

Traveling by camel through the desert the team stops to help with projects that reduce desertification.

October - Mediterranean
Facing exhausting crossings and storms team members kayak through the Mediterranean Sea.

November - Europe
Pushing across the Alps in winter, team members talks at schools and universities in Switzerland and France.


December - England

Bad weather fast tides are some of the hazards of kayaking the English Channel.

January - Germany
At Public presentations to over 100,000 young people in England, Holland, Germany, Denmark and Sweden team members as the audience to join them in being Global citizens and taking action steps.

February - March Siberia
At minus 70 degrees F team members ski northwards across Russian Siberia.

April & May - North Pole
Hauling 140 lb sleds at minus 40 degrees to the North Pole the team completes a historic journey, which conveys a powerful message and involves millions of people in action.
